All services are gender neutral and available to everyone. Unlike most salons, there are no surprise add-ons here: colours include everything from treatment to toner to bond-repair, and haircuts include full styling. Since colour needs a finishing step, simply add a haircut or styling service to complete.

Frequently
asked Questions

I don’t accept walk-ins, only appointments booked in advance. The easiest way is to book online, but you’re also welcome to get in touch by email or WhatsApp if that’s easier for you.

Yes, I offer complimentary consultations. They’re a great option if you’re thinking about a colour change, not sure what to book, or just want to talk through your options before committing. You can book one online.

Yes, I’d recommend booking ahead, as evenings and weekends tend to fill up quickly. You can book up to two months in advance.

If your preferred date or time is fully booked, you can join the waitlist directly through my online booking system. If a slot opens up, you’ll be notified via email.

Sometimes, if a slot has opened up, it’s always worth checking availability online or sending me a message, especially if you’re flexible on timing.

No problem at all. Send me a text, email or WhatsApp, or book a complimentary consultation online, and we’ll find the right service together.

The quickest ways are text, email or WhatsApp. You can also book directly online if you already know what you’d like. I’ll always get back to you during my working hours.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, I may need to reschedule your service to make sure I can maintain the same standard of care for you and the client after you. I’ll always do my best to find you a new time as soon as possible.

If you think you might be late, please call, text or WhatsApp me directly and I’ll do what I can to accommodate you.

On the rare occasion I need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, I’ll let you know as soon as possible and find you the next available slot as a priority.

If your hair is particularly thick or long, please get in touch before booking so I can allocate the right amount of time for your service.

Yes. All services are gender-neutral and open to everyone, though I don’t offer skin fades or beard trims.

Yes, I cut hair for clients of all ages. Colour services, however, are only available for clients aged 16 and over.

Yes, fringe trims help keep your hair looking fresh in between full appointments. These aren’t bookable online, so just send me a message with your availability and I’ll find you a slot.

If you’ve had a haircut with me in the last 3 months, your fringe trim is complimentary. If it’s been longer, or you’re new to me, check my price list for the cost.

In the UK, it’s a legal requirement to have a patch test at least 48 hours before any colour service. You won’t need one if you’ve had a colour service or patch test with me in the last 6 months. Please note I can’t accept patch tests or waiver forms from other salons, as my products may differ from theirs.

Booking your patch test also gives me the chance to offer you a complimentary consultation, so you’re all set ahead of your colour appointment. You can book this online.

Please let me know about any allergies or health conditions that could be triggered by a patch test.

If you notice any redness, itching or swelling after your patch test, please don’t go ahead with your colour service. Get in touch with me straight away, and if the reaction feels severe, seek medical advice from your GP or call 111.

No, only for your first colour appointment with me, or if it’s been more than 6 months since your last one.

Colour services are generally considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but it’s always worth checking with your GP or midwife first if you have any concerns. Let me know when booking so I can take extra care, and we’ll do a patch test in the usual way.

In most cases, yes, though the result depends on what’s currently on your hair, including box dye, henna or previous colour treatments. Let me know as much detail as you can when booking, or during your consultation, so I can plan the right approach and avoid surprises on the day.

Yes. Colour correction is more involved than a standard colour service, so please get in touch before booking rather than booking online, so I can understand what you’re working with and give you an accurate idea of time and cost.

No. Henna and natural dyes are limited in range, unpredictable in results, and incompatible with traditional colour. I only work with products I can stand behind fully.

To secure your booking, I require your card details. This confirms your appointment and helps me manage scheduling effectively. Your details are stored safely with Fresha Payments, which uses advanced security measures to protect your data, your privacy and payment security are a priority.

I run a cashless studio, so I only accept card payments, including American Express, along with contactless options like Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Cancellations and reschedules are free up to 48 hours before your appointment. After that, 50% of the service cost will be charged. No-shows are charged in full.

To protect your health and mine, I may need to decline or pause a service if there’s a visible infectious condition (such as head lice or a scalp infection), or if hair is excessively dirty or matted. If this happens, I’ll always explain why and help you figure out the best next step.

Your happiness with your hair matters to me. If something’s not quite right, please get in touch as soon as possible after your appointment, ideally before colouring, cutting or treating your hair elsewhere, so I can take a look and put things right.

Yes, I offer digital gift vouchers through my online booking system, perfect for treating someone to a cut, colour or full hair refresh. Simply purchase one online and it’s ready to go straight away.

Yes, if you refer a friend and they book their first appointment with me, you’ll get £10 off your next visit. Just let me know who referred them (or have them mention your name when booking) and I’ll apply the discount for you.

This depends on the service. A haircut typically takes around an hour, while colour services can range from one to four hours. You’ll see the exact duration when you book online or in your booking confirmation.

Something comfortable, just avoid roll necks, bulky collars or hoodies, as these can get in the way during your appointment.

It depends on the service, so I’ll let you know if there’s anything specific to do beforehand when you book or in your confirmation. If you’re ever unsure, just ask.

I’m based within the Gossamer City Project, a 3-minute walk from Cambridge Heath Station and a 10-minute walk from Bethnal Green Station. The entrance is to the left of 24 The Oval. On-street public parking is available nearby.

The studio is wheelchair accessible, with step-free access. If you have any specific access requirements, just let me know in advance so everything’s set up for you.

Yes, there are multiple toilets on site, including an accessible toilet. Please note the accessible toilet has a small step at the threshold (around 5cm), so do let me know in advance if this could affect you and I’ll help however I can.

Cats, dogs and giraffes are all welcome in the studio — though there is a height restriction of 2.2 metres.

Because my space is limited, I ask that you attend alone where possible. I know that’s not always possible, especially with children, so just give me a heads-up in advance and we’ll sort something out.

I love sharing my work, so I may take photos during your appointment for my portfolio or social media. I’ll always ask for your consent first, and if you’d rather your face wasn’t shown, just let me know and I’ll respect that.

I work primarily with Kevin Murphy, alongside a small selection of other sustainable, independent brands chosen for their performance and ethics.

Yes, every product I use is cruelty-free. I also don’t work with brands that sell in countries where animal testing is required by law.

I prefer to use my own products, since I know exactly how they perform and how well they work together, which helps me get you the best result. If you have a specific concern or sensitivity, just mention it and we can talk it through.

Yes, I keep a small selection of my favourite products in the studio for you to buy.
