I’m Simon Schuetz, also known as That German Hairdresser. I grew up and trained in Germany, where doing things properly isn’t optional. With over twenty years of experience working in busy salons, on shoots, fashion week and even wig making, I know what great hair actually requires: undivided attention and zero distractions.

This is why I work with one person at a time, creating haircuts and colours that grow out well and stay manageable for months. Most of my clients have been coming to me for years, some over a decade. That is no coincidence. It is what happens when you refuse to cut corners.

I Tell it Straight

If a style or colour isn’t going to work for your hair, you’ll hear it from me straight. I’m not here to offer false promises or chase trends that don’t fit you. I’d rather be blunt and honest than have you disappointed for months.

I keep notes on everything, what worked, what didn’t, even your favourite tea. When you sit down in my chair, we pick up exactly where we left off, so we’re never starting from scratch.

I work for the long term

If your hair only looks good on the day you leave, I have failed. I create haircuts and colours designed to grow out properly and stay manageable for months.
