Hairdressing done properly

Hairdressing done properly

Guten Tag. I’m Simon, the German behind the hairdresser. In keeping with my roots, doing things properly isn’t optional with me. With over 20 years of experience across busy salons in London and Munich, as well as fashion week, photoshoots and even wig making, I know what a great hairdressing experience actually requires: undivided attention and zero distractions. This is why I work with one person at a time, creating haircuts and colours that grow out well and stay manageable for months.

What’s my story?

Why I’m
different

If a style or colour isn’t going to work for your hair, you’ll hear it from me straight. I’m not here to offer false promises or chase trends. I’d rather be direct and honest than have you disappointed for weeks to come.

Great hair shouldn’t come at the expense of people and planet. I only work with brands that are ethical, cruelty-free and genuinely stand for something. The studio was built with the same mindset: sustainable materials, reclaimed furniture, no single-use plastic. No greenwashing here, just doing what’s right.

Most salon appointments feel rushed, because they are. When you step into my studio, there is no waiting, no salon noise, and no strangers sitting next to you. Just good music, a proper cup of tea, and my uninterrupted focus for the duration of your appointment.

What worked, what didn’t, how your colour faded, how the cut grew out, and even how you like your tea. When you return, we pick up exactly where we left off. No guesswork.

If your hair only looks good on the day you leave, I have failed. I create haircuts and colours designed to grow out well and stay manageable long after you leave the chair.

Most of my clients have been coming to me for years, some even over a decade. That’s no coincidence. It’s what happens when you refuse to cut corners.

Nothing like A salon

Housed inside a repurposed shipping container in Hackney, my studio is nothing like a traditional salon. I reimagined everything, from how it feels, how it smells and even what it sounds like. It’s entirely self-contained, completely private, and there is nowhere else quite like it.
