To keep it simple, yes, you will need a patch test up to 48 hours before your appointment, but only if you’re new or haven’t had a colour in the last 6 months with me.
It’s a UK legal thing and it’s to make sure you’re all good with the colour I’ll be using.
Most people will not have a reaction, but sometimes in certain conditions, a reaction can occur:
- Pregnancy
- Recent covid recovery
- History of skin conditions
It generally only takes a couple of minutes and entails a little bit of the colour being applied behind your ear.
